San Juan, Puerto Rico (February 18, 2025) - Vimenti recently celebrated with great success the Health Fair: “Wellness in every stage of life” last Friday, February 7, reaffirming its commitment to the health and wellness of families and the community. The event, which took place at different Vimenti locations, offered a full day of health-focused activities, educational workshops, and interactive experiences in collaboration with Vidalús Salud Comunitaria, Management Administration Services Corp., and the Administration for the Integral Care and Development of Children (ACUDEN).
“As part of our purpose at Vimenti accompanying, supporting, and providing targeted services to our families and community, we have chosen this slogan to highlight the importance of taking care of our health at every stage of life,” explained Glorimar Morales Carrasquillo, RN BSN, nurse and health coordinator at Vimenti.
From early in the morning, attendees participated in a variety of activities designed to educate and raise awareness about the importance of integral health. At the Ernesto Ramos Antonini Residence Hall, the day began with a nutritious breakfast followed by a talk on the importance of healthy eating and physical activity. Participants then enjoyed a Zumba class before accessing medical consulting services and eye exams provided by health professionals.
At Vimenti I, Vimenti School teachers implemented creative classroom activities to promote health and wellness in a fun and innovative way. A panel of judges evaluated the creativity and participation of the students, awarding prizes to the classrooms that best integrated the concept of health in their initiatives. At Vimenti II, different groups of students participated in mental health sessions under the theme “Mandala in Motion.” In addition, Vimenti and the Addiction and Mental Health Services Administration (ASSMCA) collaborated to offer a workshop on managing emotions for sixth and seventh-grade students.
The celebration continued at the Ernesto Ramos Antonini Residence Ball Park. Participating organizations set up tables that offered information, health services, counseling, and medical screenings. Attendees also enjoyed raffles, food, and a second Zumba session. As part of the recreational activities, children and families participated in a bounce house, a mini farm, physical games, and face painting activities, promoting wellness through fun and movement.
