Vimenti Celebrates the Academic and Family Achievements of Kindergarten and Fifth-Grade Students on Achievement Day

Some 79 families were honored at the 2026 Day of Achievement celebration, in line with Vimenti’s Two-Generation Model.

San Juan, Puerto Rico (June 10, 2026) - In an atmosphere filled with pride, joy, and hope, Vimenti celebrated Achievement Day for kindergarten and fifth-grade students in the Teodoro Vidal Hall at the Luis Muñoz Marín Foundation. The event brought together some 79 families from both grades, as well as teachers, staff, and the school community, to recognize the students’ academic, personal, and emotional growth throughout this school year.

“I encourage you to keep dreaming big; the future holds many possibilities as long as you’re willing to reach for them,” said Bárbara Rivera Batista, executive director of Vimenti. “A world of opportunities awaits you if you work hard, and we believe in you.”

The celebration highlighted not only the students’ educational progress but also the commitment of the families who support their development every day. Parents, grandparents, and loved ones took part in an event honoring the collective effort that drives every child’s success. During the event, students participated in special presentations, awards ceremonies, and celebrations alongside their teachers and family members. For kindergarten students, the event symbolized the conclusion of a fundamental stage of discovery and early learning, while for fifth graders, it marked an important step in their academic journey and student leadership.

“I’ve had the privilege of watching them grow, of seeing how they found their voice—a voice we hear today,” recalled Adalirys Santos Salgado, principal of Vimenti Elementary School. “Of seeing how they built friendships, how they learned to pick themselves up after difficult times, and, little by little, became preteens with so much personality, talent, and potential. Today, I look at them and see that they excel in every way, including how they face life’s challenges. That makes me so, so proud,” she concluded.

Vimenti also extended special thanks to the teachers, teaching assistants, staff, administrative personnel, support team, and volunteers who, day in and day out, contribute with dedication and a sense of purpose to the holistic development of the students and their families. The organization also recognized the essential role of the teachers and educators who guide the children through every stage of their academic and emotional development.

“I truly admire, respect, and appreciate the Vimenti team. Behind the scenes and the dream are the people who make it a reality. And this is the team that gets up every day to provide instruction and love,” said Rivera Batista. “To the support team, the supplementary classes team, the special education team, the therapists, the entire social services team, the after-school team, and all support staff: you are the ones who make our goals a reality. You are a great force, a family of orange hearts. So, we thank you for choosing to be part of this extended family.”

Achievement Day reaffirms Vimenti’s commitment to an education focused on the holistic well-being of families, fostering environments in which learning, community, and family support drive social transformation.
