What is Vimenti?
VIMENTI is a one stop shop center based in a two generation approach (parents and children) with the mission of eradicate child poverty. Vimenti is a social policy lab to prove a holistic evidence based model that include education, economic and social programs for children and families.
The Two Generation Approach is an antipoverty initiative that provides support for both children and their parents together. This approach has proven effective at breaking children and their families free from the traps of poverty and empowering them to live up to their full potential. This approach allows parents and their children to receive services, support and opportunities for learning and empowerment - all in the direction of helping families achieve economic mobility.

Greyshla M. Cruz García’s journey with Vimenti is a story of family progress, economic mobility, and empowerment.
Her daughter began her educational journey at Vimenti School in first grade and is now a high school student at Vimenti School. Over the years, Greyshla has seen significant growth in her children’s academic development while strengthening communication and relationships within her family.
But the impact of Vimenti extended beyond her children’s education.
With the support and opportunities provided through Vimenti’s programs, Greyshla continued her own education and studied Culinary Arts. Today, she is an entrepreneur and owner of Greyshla’s Cooking, her catering business. Her journey—from participating in Vimenti’s employment programs and workshops, to finding a job, purchasing a car, continuing her education, becoming a business owner, and improving her family’s housing situation—reflects the economic mobility that Vimenti seeks to create alongside families.
Greyshla has also transformed her experience into leadership. She is an active participant in Vimenti’s Advocacy Program, where she serves as a family voice and spokesperson, sharing her experience with visitors, community leaders, partners, and the media.
